This policy explains what the Meridian Rewards offer wall at offers.meridianmediausa.com collects, why, and who it goes to. It covers the rewards service only. The main Meridian Media website has its own privacy policy.
What we collect
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your Reward ID | A random identifier generated in your browser. It is how a completed offer is matched back to your balance. It contains nothing about you. |
| Your country | Determined from your connection when you claim. Used to show offers available where you are, and to check we are lawfully able to pay you. |
| Your IP address | Used to detect duplicate accounts and fraud, and sent to OGAds when this page loads so it can return the offers available in your country and on your device — see Who your information goes to below. It is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Corrected 9 September 2026: this row said the address was never used for advertising, which the OGAds disclosure further down contradicts. |
| Email address | Only if you provide one. Used to sign you in — we email a single-use code, which is the only way to reach your account from another device — and to answer questions about your balance or recover a lost Reward ID. Corrected 9 September 2026: signing in is the main use and was not listed. |
| Payout destination | Only if you provide one — a US bank routing number and account number for direct deposit. The routing number is stored as written; the account number is encrypted at rest and shown to you only as its last 4 digits. It is decrypted in two cases and no others: to build the bank file that actually sends your money, and when a named administrator opens it for a stated reason, which is written to an audit record before the number is returned. Used solely to send you money. Some older accounts still hold a PayPal address from before direct deposit replaced it. |
| Completion records | Which offers credited to your Reward ID, the amount, and the status. This is your balance. |
| Your sign-in sessions | If you sign in, we record when and from where, plus your browser and device type. It is how we can sign you out everywhere and shut down a stolen account. |
| Your browser and device type | Recorded alongside a sign-in or a consent, as corroboration if a record is ever disputed. |
| Referral information | Your own referral code, and the code of whoever referred you, so invitations can be credited. |
| Tax details — only if you choose to provide them Legal name, date of birth, home address, phone number and Social Security number. |
US law requires us to file a 1099 and hold a W-9 before we pay anyone
$600 or more in a calendar year. We ask for these once, so a
payment is not stopped later. You can use the wall and complete offers without
them — you just cannot be paid $600 or more in a calendar year.
Your Social Security number is encrypted before it is stored and is never shown back to anyone, including our own staff, except by a named person at the moment a 1099 is filed — and every one of those views is recorded with who looked and why. Everywhere else, only the last four digits are ever displayed. |
| Annual income — only if you choose to enter it | An optional, self-reported figure on the payout form, stored alongside your tax details. It has no effect on what you can earn, what you can withdraw, or which offers you see. Added 9 September 2026: the form had been collecting this and this table did not list it. |
| How many offers you have started | A running count and the time of the most recent one, kept against your Reward ID. We use it to tell whether an offer is broken — one that people start and never finish is one to remove — and to spot automated clicking. Added 9 September 2026: this table listed completed offers but not started ones. |
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or store card numbers, or government identification such as a passport or driver’s licence. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers or cross-site profiling on the offer wall.
Corrected 8 September 2026. Until today this paragraph also said we never ask for or store bank account or routing numbers. That was wrong: the payout form collects a US routing number and an account number so we can pay you by direct deposit, and it had been doing so before this sentence was corrected. The routing number is stored as written — it identifies a bank, not a person, and is printed on every cheque. The account number is encrypted at rest and only its last 4 digits are displayed anywhere you can see. Corrected 9 September 2026: this sentence went on to say the number was never shown to our own staff either, which was not accurate. A bank transfer cannot be created without the full account number, so it is decrypted to build the payment file, and a named administrator can open it for a stated reason — recorded, with who looked and why, before the number is returned. If that record cannot be written, the number is not returned at all. We are correcting this in place rather than deleting it quietly, as we did with the Social Security number note below.
Corrected 2026-09-05. An earlier version of this page said we never ask for a Social Security number or date of birth. That is no longer true: we now collect both, but only from people who choose to give them, and only because we cannot legally pay someone $600 or more in a year without them. The statement has been corrected rather than quietly removed. What we collect and how it is protected is set out in the table above.
We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and cannot follow you to other websites. It tells us how many people visited a page — not who they are.
Google Fonts serves the typeface on this page and on the offer wall. Your browser requests the font file directly from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser string in order to answer. We send it nothing else, it sets no cookie for us, and it is used only to render text. Added 9 September 2026: this page listed every other third party and did not name this one.
One honest caveat: our company site at meridianmediausa.com uses
Google Analytics, and the cookies it sets are scoped to that domain and its
subdomains — which includes this one. So if you visited the company site
first, a _ga cookie set there may be present here. We do not read it
and the offer wall does not use it. You can block or clear it like any cookie; the
wall works normally without it.
We also use hCaptcha to tell people from bots when you sign in. Corrected 9 September 2026: this also said it runs when you save a payout destination. It does not — that form sends no captcha token. hCaptcha is a third party, it loads on the offer wall itself (not on this page or the Terms page), and it may set its own cookie and examine your device in order to score whether you are human. We do not control what it collects; see hCaptcha’s privacy policy. We use it because the alternative is scripts draining the reward pool that funds real users’ payouts.
Your payout destination is never shown back to you in full
Because your Reward ID lives in your browser and acts as a key to your balance, we treat it as sensitive. If someone else learned your Reward ID, we do not want them to be able to read your payment details. The cash-out panel therefore shows only a masked version of any destination you have saved. Your account number is never returned to your browser in full. Your routing number is — it identifies a bank, not a person, and is printed on every cheque — so that you can check you typed the right one. Corrected 9 September 2026: this previously said no part of our system would return it in full. Two internal paths do, because paying you requires it: the bank-file builder, and an administrator lookup that is audit-logged before it answers. Neither is reachable from the offer wall or from your Reward ID.
Who your information goes to
When you click an offer, we pass your Reward ID to the advertising network that supplies it, so that a completion can be credited back to you. We never send them your email address or your payout details.
One network sees more than that, and it sees it before you click. OGAds does not publish a list of offers we can store and filter ourselves; it decides what to show per visitor. So when this page loads, we send OGAds your IP address and your browser user-agent string, and it returns the offers available in your country and on your device. That happens on page load, not on click, and it happens whether or not you go on to start an offer. We send nothing else — not your Reward ID, not your email, not your payout details — and your Reward ID is only added if and when you actually click. CPAlead and CPAGrip work the other way round: we hold their catalogues ourselves and they learn nothing about you until you click.
The networks currently supplying offers are CPAlead, CPAGrip and OGAds. Once you leave our site and land on an advertiser’s page, that advertiser’s own privacy policy governs whatever you choose to give them. Read it. We have no control over, and no visibility into, what an advertiser collects.
We also use PayPal and similar payment providers to send payouts, and they receive the destination and amount necessary to make the payment.
We will disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or enforce our Terms of Service.
Cookies and local storage
The offer wall stores up to six values in your browser’s local storage. All are functional; none is advertising, and none is shared with anyone.
- Your Reward ID — so your balance persists between visits.
- Your account ID — if you have signed in, so completed offers reach your account rather than the browser.
- Your sign-in session — so you stay signed in. Removing it signs you out; it cannot be used to read your payout details.
- A referral code — if you arrived through someone’s invitation link, so they can be credited.
- Your answer to the 18+ and terms notice — so you are not asked again on every visit. It records the date of the policy you accepted, and changes when that policy changes.
- Your language choice — English or Spanish, if you have used the language switch.
Clearing your browser data removes all six. If you have signed in, nothing is lost — your balance is on your account. If you have not, your Reward ID is the only link to it, so save it or sign in.
hCaptcha may set a cookie of its own, as described above. That one is not ours.
How long we keep it
Completion and payment records are kept for as long as needed to run the service and to meet tax and anti-fraud obligations — generally seven years for records connected to a payment, because United States tax rules require it. Records not connected to a payment are kept while your Reward ID is active.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@meridianmediausa.com from the address on your account, or include your Reward ID.
Deleting your data closes your Reward ID and forfeits any unpaid balance, since the balance is the record. If you have a confirmed balance, cash it out first. Some records must be retained after a deletion request where tax or anti-fraud law requires it.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK/EU GDPR. We honour these requests regardless of where you are.
EU and UK residents (GDPR)
Controller. Meridian Media LLC, 5725 S Valley View Blvd Ste 5, Las Vegas, NV 89118, United States (info@meridianmediausa.com) is the data controller for Meridian Rewards.
Legal bases. We process your email address, Reward ID, country, device type, offer clicks and completions to run the rewards service you asked for (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b)); IP address, device signals and completion patterns to detect fraud and keep advertiser relationships (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)); tax and payout records where the law requires them (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)); and any marketing email or SMS only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent and to complain to your local supervisory authority. Email info@meridianmediausa.com from the address on your account; we answer within 30 days. Deleting your account forfeits any unpaid balance, so cash out first.
International transfer. Our systems run in the United States. Where your data leaves the EU/UK we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) with our processors, and we limit what we share with advertising networks to what is needed to credit your reward (Reward ID, offer, country, device).
Retention. Account and completion records are kept while your account is open and for up to 7 years afterwards where tax or anti-fraud law requires; marketing consent records for as long as the consent is active plus 3 years.
Automated decisions. Fraud checks may automatically hold a reward for review. A person reviews any hold you dispute.
Children
This service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and held in access-controlled systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — which is part of why we deliberately collect as little as possible.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above will change.
